Integrations
Automotive integrations: marketplaces, DMS, finance, accounts and CRM
Automotive integrations are the plumbing between your website or store and the systems the trade already runs on: Auto Trader, eBay, Amazon, your DMS, finance providers, Xero or Sage and your CRM. We build and maintain those connections so stock, orders, customers and leads move once, automatically, without re-keying.
Who we do this for
- Car Dealers
- Car Parts Retailers
- Breakers & Dismantlers
- Motor Factors & Distributors
- Leasing & Finance Brokers
- Vehicle Rental & Hire
Native data integrations
Every motor trade business runs on several systems that were never designed to talk to each other. A dealer has a DMS, a website, Auto Trader, a finance portal and an accounts package. A parts retailer has a store, eBay, Amazon, a supplier catalogue and a courier. The gaps between them are filled by staff typing the same thing twice, and that is where stock goes out of date and orders go missing.
We build integrations against the vendor's own API where one exists (Auto Trader Connect, eBay Sell APIs, Amazon SP-API, Keyloop developer APIs, Xero and Sage accounting APIs, HubSpot and Zoho) and against scheduled file feeds where it does not. Each integration has a source of truth defined in writing, error handling that alerts a human rather than failing silently, and a log you can read when something looks wrong.
The pages below cover the four integrations we are asked for most often: Auto Trader, eBay Motors, Amazon Automotive and dealer management systems. Everything else on this page, from finance calculators to Xero, is delivered as part of a build or as a standalone project with the same scoping process.
Sound familiar?
You probably need this if
- A car sells on the forecourt and is still advertised online two days later.
- Someone in the office spends Monday morning copying eBay orders into the accounts package.
- Website leads land in an inbox and get to the sales team when somebody remembers to forward them.
- Your finance quotes on the website disagree with the ones in the showroom.
- Stock on Amazon oversells because it is updated by hand from a spreadsheet.
- You have three customer lists (DMS, mailing tool, website) and none of them match.
Deliverables
What you get
- Integration map showing every system, the data each one owns and the direction of every flow
- API connections to marketplaces, DMS, finance, accounts and CRM as scoped
- Scheduled feed handling (CSV, XML, FTP/SFTP) for vendors without an API
- Field mapping and transformation rules documented per integration
- Monitoring and alerting with a readable sync log
- Sandbox testing against each vendor's test environment before anything touches live data
- Ongoing maintenance for vendor API changes under a support retainer
Marketplace integrations
For dealers that means Auto Trader Connect, Motors.co.uk and CarGurus feeds driven from one stock record, so a price change or a sale reaches every advert at once. For parts sellers it means eBay, Amazon and Google Merchant Center listing from the same catalogue as your own store, with fitment data attached and stock decremented across all channels when an order lands anywhere.
We cover the detail on the dedicated Auto Trader, eBay Motors and Amazon Automotive pages.
DMS integrations
Stock, customers, vehicles and bookings synced between your dealer management system and your website, apps and marketing tools. We work with Keyloop, Pinewood, CDK, Dragon2000 and Click Dealer, through vendor APIs where available and scheduled feeds where not. The DMS integration page covers what each system exposes.
Finance integrations
Finance calculators and applications on dealer websites normally come from a finance technology provider such as Codeweavers or iVendi, connected to your lender panel. We embed and integrate those tools so the representative example, monthly figure and application form on each vehicle page match what the showroom quotes, and applications land with the sales team rather than in an inbox.
Accounting: Xero and Sage
Web and marketplace orders pushed into Xero or Sage as sales invoices with the right VAT treatment, payment reconciliation against Stripe, PayPal or eBay payouts, and customers matched to existing contacts rather than duplicated. For dealers, vehicle sales and part-exchange margins can be posted from the DMS or from a bespoke deal record.
CRM integrations
Leads from your website, Auto Trader, eBay messages and phone tracking pushed into HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce or a dealer-specific CRM with the vehicle attached, so a salesperson sees the enquiry and the car together. Service and MOT dates from the DMS feed retention campaigns in your email tool automatically.

How we approach it
-
Map the systems
We list every system, who owns its data and which one is the source of truth for each field. Most integration problems are decided here, not in code.
-
Confirm access
Auto Trader, Keyloop and some finance providers require partner approval or dealer authorisation. We start those conversations early because they are on the vendor's timetable, not ours.
-
Build and sandbox test
Each connection is built against the vendor's sandbox, then against a copy of your live data. We test the awkward cases: sold vehicles, cancelled orders, refunds, duplicate customers.
-
Go live with monitoring
Integrations run on a schedule or on webhooks, with alerts on failure and a log your staff can read. We watch the first weeks closely.
-
Maintain
Vendors change APIs. A retainer covers version upgrades, credential rotation and the occasional field that starts arriving in a new format.
Integrations: common questions
Which systems can you integrate with?
Auto Trader Connect, Motors.co.uk, CarGurus, eBay, Amazon, Google Merchant Center, Keyloop, Pinewood, CDK, Dragon2000, Click Dealer, Xero, Sage, HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce and finance providers such as Codeweavers and iVendi. Anything with an API or a file export can usually be connected.
What if our system has no API?
Most older DMS and garage systems can export CSV or XML on a schedule to an FTP location. We build a robust importer around that feed with validation and alerts, which is slower than an API but reliable.
How do you stop two systems overwriting each other?
By defining one source of truth per field before we write any code. Stock is owned by the DMS, orders by the store, customers by the CRM, and integrations only push in the agreed direction.
Do integrations need ongoing support?
Yes. Vendors deprecate API versions, rotate credentials and change field formats. A monthly retainer covers monitoring, fixes and upgrades so an integration that worked at launch keeps working.
Can you integrate our website with Xero or Sage?
Yes. Orders, invoices, payments and customers can be pushed to Xero, Sage Business Cloud or Sage 50 via their APIs, with VAT treatment and nominal codes mapped to your chart of accounts.
