Digital agency for tuning companies and performance specialists
A tuning company website has two jobs most Instagram-first tuners never get round to: take bookings for dyno and remap sessions without a DM, and sell performance parts whose fitment you had to build yourself because TecDoc does not cover them. We build both, with the export-ready checkout and the ASA-safe copy that go with them.
Tuners, remappers, dyno centres and performance-parts brands serve the customer who spends most on their car. There is no trade-body figure for the UK tuning market and we will not quote the global estimates that get passed around, but the proxies are clear: historic and enthusiast owners spend an average of £4,567 a year on their vehicles, the aftermarket adds £17bn to the UK economy, and Motorsport Valley's £16bn engineering base is where much of the hardware comes from. dijitul came out of this scene. Maxxd was a modified-car club before it was an agency.
The parts side has a data problem that mainstream retailers do not. An exhaust, a coilover kit or an intercooler for a specific engine and body code has no TecDoc linkage, so fitment has to be built by hand from the manufacturer's application list, then maintained as models change. We have done this for Scorpion Exhausts, whose trade portal we built, and for performance retailers such as GSM Performance. The result is a catalogue where a customer enters a reg or picks a year, make and model and sees only what fits, on the store and in the eBay compatibility file.
The service side runs on the diary. Remap, dyno, geometry and fabrication bookings still come in by phone and Instagram DM, which means evening enquiries are lost and no-shows are free. We build booking with deposits, vehicle capture by reg so the technician knows what is arriving, and file-service workflows for Alientech and Dimsport users. Klarna or finance widgets on higher-ticket work are standard.
Then there is what you can say. The CAP Code bans references to speed or acceleration that condone irresponsible driving and requires performance to be shown in a safety context, and customers worry about insurance, emissions and the MOT. We write pages that explain gains, legality and warranties honestly, which happens to be what ranks. Instagram reach is rented; a site that ranks for your model-specific searches is owned, and international demand from the US and EU needs a checkout with duties and currency handled.
The usual problems
- Fitment for performance parts has to be built by hand
No TecDoc coverage, so every application list is a spreadsheet that goes out of date the moment a new model year lands.
- Bookings come by DM and phone
Evening enquiries go unanswered, no deposits are taken and the dyno sits empty when someone does not turn up.
- Instagram reach dropped and so did the enquiries
One algorithm change and a decade of followers stop seeing the posts. There is no website traffic to fall back on.
- Customers ask about insurance, emissions and the MOT
Nobody has written the answers down, so the same questions cost a phone call each time and some buyers never ring.
- Orders from the US and Germany with no export setup
Duties, currency, shipping quotes for bulky items and returns all handled by email after the fact.
- Performance claims that would not survive an ASA complaint
Speed and acceleration figures used as the sales pitch, which the CAP Code specifically restricts.

eBay Motors IntegrationVehicle data
Data that does the heavy lifting
vehicle fitment data
Vehicle fitment data is what tells a buyer 'this fits your car'.
Part Fitment Mappingnumber plate lookup API
A number plate lookup API turns 'enter your reg' into a vehicle record your store can act on: make, model, engine, K-Type.
Reg Lookup Integrationproduct data enrichment automotive
The product data enrichment automotive retailers need is unglamorous: deduplicated SKUs, normalised part numbers, OE cross-references, attributes pulled from TecDoc or PIES, GTINs and images that pass marketplace checks.
Product Data EnrichmentTuning & Performance: common questions
How do you handle fitment for parts that are not in TecDoc?
We build fitment tables from the manufacturer's application data, engine and body codes and your own workshop knowledge, then attach them to each SKU. The same table feeds the store's vehicle selector and the eBay compatibility file.
Can customers book a remap or dyno session online?
Yes. Booking with slot availability, deposit payment, reg lookup to capture the vehicle and a confirmation and reminder sequence. It can sync with your existing diary or replace it.
What are the advertising rules for tuning?
The CAP Code prohibits references to speed or acceleration that condone irresponsible driving and requires performance to be shown in a safety context. We write around gains, engineering and driveability and avoid claims that would fail an ASA complaint.
Can we sell internationally?
Yes. Multi-currency checkout, duties and taxes calculated at checkout, shipping rules for bulky items and marketplace feeds for eBay and Amazon in the markets you serve.
Do you work with remap file services?
We build the customer-facing side: booking, vehicle capture, file upload and status updates, integrated with the tools your tuner already uses rather than replacing them.
