Digital agency for tyre and exhaust centres

A tyre website with booking has to do what Blackcircles and Kwik Fit do, on an independent's budget: look up the tyre size from the reg, show live prices from your wholesaler feed, and book a fitting slot that your workshop diary can honour. We build that, then add the exhaust, brake, battery and MOT upsells that lift the ticket.

Fast-fit is a chain business. Kwik Fit, Halfords Autocentres, National, ATS Euromaster and Protyre on the high street, Blackcircles and etyres online, and all of them spending on Google Ads in your postcode. Independents win on price, speed, trust and local reputation, but only if a customer can find them, find their tyre size and book without ringing. Around 50 million tyres reach end of life in the UK every year and 42.5 million vehicles are in use; the demand is constant, and tyres and brakes are leading causes of the roughly 7.8 million MOT failures a year.

The technical requirement is specific. Tyre size by registration needs licensed data: cap hpi (via its Carweb acquisition), Vehicle Data Global's TyreData package or DriveRightData return the OE sizes, speed and load ratings for a VRM. Pricing changes daily from wholesalers such as Bond, Stapleton's and Micheldever, so the feed has to be automated with your margin rules applied. Booking has to reflect real bays, real hours and whether the tyre is in stock or needs a next-day delivery. Get any of those three wrong and the customer goes back to the chain.

We build that stack for independents and regional groups: VRM lookup to tyre size, wholesaler feed ingestion and pricing, slot booking tied to your fast-fit management system or a diary we provide, and payment or deposit online. Then we add what the chains bundle: exhausts, brakes, batteries, alignment, servicing and MOT, presented alongside the tyre booking so the ticket goes up without a hard sell. MOT reminders from the DVSA MOT History API bring last year's tyre customer back for the test.

Local search is where the independent can beat the chain on cost. A Google Business Profile that is complete and reviewed, pages for each branch and each service, and Google Ads limited to the postcodes you serve with call tracking, outperform a national brand's blanket spend for the searches that matter: 'tyres near me', a size, a brand or 'exhaust fitting' plus your town.

The usual problems

  • Customers do not know their tyre size

Every web enquiry turns into a phone call to read the sidewall, and half of them ring the chain instead.

  • Wholesaler prices change daily

The website price is a week old, the counter price is different, and somebody is losing margin or a customer on every job.

  • The chains outspend us on Google Ads

National budgets on 'tyres near me' push the independent to page two, even when it is cheaper and closer.

  • Booking slots and stock are not connected

A customer books a fitting for tomorrow on a tyre that is not on the shelf and is not on the van.

  • Google Business Profile is neglected

Wrong hours, no photos and reviews that stopped in 2021.

  • Nobody sees the MOT and service upsell

The centre does MOTs, brakes and batteries and the website only mentions tyres.

Tyre & Exhaust Centres: common questions

How does tyre size lookup by registration work?

The customer enters their reg, a licensed data provider (cap hpi, Vehicle Data Global or DriveRightData) returns the OE tyre sizes with speed and load ratings, and the site shows tyres in stock or available from your wholesaler in that size. Lookups are cached to control cost.

Can the website show live wholesaler prices?

Yes. We ingest price and stock feeds from wholesalers such as Bond, Stapleton's and Micheldever, apply your margin rules by brand and size, and update the site on a schedule so web and counter prices match.

Can customers book a fitting slot online?

Yes. Slots reflect your bays and hours, and the booking checks whether the tyre is on the shelf or needs a next-day delivery before offering a time. Bookings can sync with your fast-fit management system or a diary we provide.

How do we compete with Kwik Fit and Blackcircles online?

Locally. Branch-level Google Business Profiles with reviews, service pages for your area, Google Ads limited to your postcodes and a booking flow as easy as theirs. You do not need to outspend them nationally.

Can we sell exhausts, brakes and MOTs on the same site?

Yes. Every service is bookable alongside the tyre fitting, and exhaust or brake pages are structured by vehicle so they rank for the job plus your town.
