Automotive social media agency for the motor trade
An automotive social media agency should know the difference between a stage 1 remap and a stage 2. We run organic social for dealers, garages, parts and tuning brands, clubs and race teams: the plan, the content, the community replies and the monthly report, with your people on camera and our team behind it.
Most motor trade social accounts are run by whoever is least busy. The result is a stock photo on Monday, a meme on Friday and nothing in between. Car people can tell, and they are the audience. dijitul started as a car club with a forum, and we have run automotive communities online since 2006.
We work out what your account is for. A dealer's is for stock, reviews and the people behind the desk. A garage's is for trust: the work, the technicians, the honest advice. A parts or tuning brand's is for the product in use, the builds and the customers. A race team's is for sponsors as much as fans. Then we build a content plan around it, with a shoot day a month and a schedule that survives when the business is busy.
We reply. Comments, messages, reviews and the inevitable how-much questions get answered in your voice within the working day, and enquiries go into your CRM or booking system. Reporting shows followers, reach and engagement, but leads with what matters: enquiries, bookings, orders and which content produced them.
Sound familiar?
You probably need this if
- Posting happens when someone remembers, and stops when the workshop is busy.
- Messages asking about a car or a part sit unanswered for days.
- Your content is stock imagery and the competitor's is their technician explaining a job.
- Sponsors ask for your social numbers and you have to build a spreadsheet by hand.
- You have accounts on six platforms and a plan for none.

Social Media: common questions
Which platforms should a car dealer be on?
Facebook and Instagram for stock and reviews, YouTube for walkarounds, TikTok if you have someone comfortable on camera. LinkedIn only for commercial and fleet. Better to do two well than six badly.
Do you post stock for us?
Yes, from your stock feed where possible, so posts use the right photos, price and link and sold cars are not promoted. Manually where a feed is not available.
Can you manage social for a garage?
Yes. Garage social is about trust: the work, the technicians, honest explanations of common jobs, reviews and reminders. It pairs with local SEO and MOT reminder email, and we run all three.
Do we have to be on camera?
Not always, but it works far better when you are. Customers buy from people. We coach and direct so it is painless, and we build formats that only need a few minutes of your time each month.
What do you report on?
Reach, engagement and follower growth, but the report leads with enquiries, bookings and orders attributed to social, and which posts produced them. Race teams and clubs get a version their sponsors can use.
Do you also run paid social?
Yes, as a separate service. Organic and paid work best together: organic builds the audience and the proof, paid puts stock and offers in front of people who have not found you yet.

Social media for dealers and garages
Dealers get stock posts from the feed, handover photos, review reposts and the occasional honest video about a car that surprised you. Garages get the job of the week, a technician explaining a common fault, MOT season reminders and reviews. Both get every message answered the same day, because that is where the enquiry is.
