Digital agency for automotive manufacturers and OEMs

Automotive manufacturer marketing at the volume-brand level is agency-of-record territory. Below it sits a much larger tier: low-volume makers, kit car companies, component suppliers and OEM parts divisions with global demand and a small team. That is who we build for: dealer locators, B2B trade portals, parts catalogues and technical content that generates leads.

2,500+
component providers supporting UK vehicle manufacturing

The UK built 717,371 cars and 47,344 commercial vehicles in 2025 and exported nearly eight in ten of the cars to more than 140 markets. Behind the volume plants at Sunderland, Burnaston, Oxford, Solihull and Ellesmere Port sit the premium and specialist makers (Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, McLaren, Lotus, Morgan, Caterham), the kit and low-volume builders, and more than 2,500 component suppliers. Turnover across manufacturing is £85.4bn with £5.3bn a year spent on R&D. Most of those businesses have world-class engineering and a website that does not reflect it.

We work in the tier where the marketing team is three people and the customers are on four continents. That means a dealer or distributor locator that pulls from a maintained dataset rather than a PDF, a configurator sized to the range you actually sell, technical documentation that is searchable and downloadable, and B2B portals with account pricing, order history and stock visibility for dealers and distributors. Great British Sports Cars, a kit car manufacturer, is the kind of client we mean.

Parts divisions and component suppliers have a data job before a marketing job. If your articles, OE numbers, GTINs and vehicle linkages are not in TecDoc, MAM Autocat and the marketplaces, distributors and garages cannot find them. We work with PIM systems such as Akeneo, Pimcore and inRiver, prepare TecDoc and ACES/PIES packages, and build the D2C or trade storefront on top. Scorpion Exhausts, a UK performance exhaust manufacturer, runs a B2B trade portal we built for exactly that reason.

Governance and compliance sit over all of it. Brand rules from a parent OEM, procurement cycles measured in quarters, Salesforce or Adobe Experience Cloud at group level, SAP or Oracle behind the portal. Adverts need WLTP fuel and CO2 figures, environmental claims have to satisfy the ASA, and recalls and technical bulletins need a channel that reaches owners and dealers quickly. We fit into that structure rather than fighting it.

The usual problems

  • Dealer locator, configurator and parts catalogue live in three silos

Three datasets, three suppliers, three places to update when a dealer changes address or a part supersedes.

  • Global demand, three-person marketing team

Enquiries from the US, Japan and Germany arriving in one inbox with no CRM, no lead scoring and no follow-up sequence.

  • The trade portal was built in 2011

Distributors order by emailing a spreadsheet because the portal has no stock, no account pricing and does not work on a phone.

  • Our parts are not in the catalogues garages use

Without TecDoc or Autocat linkages the product does not appear at the trade counter, whatever the website says.

  • Procurement and brand governance slow everything down

Every page needs sign-off from a parent brand and a legal team, so the site is a year behind the product.

Manufacturers & OEMs: common questions

Do you work with volume manufacturers?

Rarely as agency of record. We work with low-volume makers, kit car companies, component suppliers, OEM parts divisions and the regional or project teams inside larger brands that need something built quickly and properly.

Can you build a dealer locator?

Yes. A locator driven by a maintained dealer dataset with geocoding, opening hours, services offered and lead routing, embedded in your site and available to dealers as a widget or feed.

Can you get our parts into TecDoc and Autocat?

We prepare the article, OE cross-reference, GTIN, image and vehicle-linkage data to TecAlliance's data package format and MAM's catalogue data services, working from your PIM or spreadsheets. Submission is under your supplier account.

Can you build a B2B trade portal for our distributors?

Yes. Account-based pricing, credit terms, live stock from your ERP, order history, quick order by part number and fitment lookup. Scorpion Exhausts runs one we built.

How do you handle brand governance and sign-off?

We work to your brand guidelines and legal review process, build components that stay on-brand by design, and use staging environments so every page can be approved before release.
